Dr. Prachi Chhabra is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Information Technology at JSS Academy of Technical Education (JSSATE), Noida, where she has taught since 2008. Her research interests are machine learning, deep learning, computer vision and image processing. She earned her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Sharda University, Greater Noida, in 2025, with a thesis on curved text detection in scenic images. She holds an MTech and a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering from Kurukshetra University. Her work has appeared in journals including Scientific Reports, Signal, Image and Video Processing, Cognitive Computation and The International Arab Journal of Information Technology. She has also published in IEEE and Springer conference proceedings. She has four Indian patents to her name, one granted and three published, in areas such as railway asset management, depression detection and wearable health monitoring. She teaches courses ranging from data structures and operating systems to artificial intelligence and soft computing. At JSSATE she has coordinated NBA accreditation activities as in-charge of Criteria 3, and she serves as SPOC for IIT Kanpur's Virtual Lab. She has also helped organize national conferences and a three-week STTP on IoT and data analytics.
