Dr. Vivek Champaneria is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial
Intelligence and Data Science at Sarvajanik College of Engineering &
Technology, Surat. He completed his Ph.D. from the National Institute of
Technology Surat (NIT Surat). His research interests include biometrics,
computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition, machine learning, and
secure authentication systems.
His research and academic work focus particularly on Cancelable Biometrics
and privacy-preserving biometric authentication, addressing emerging security
and privacy challenges associated with biometric data. He has contributed to
this domain through his research publications and academic activities, focusing
on developing secure and reliable authentication solutions. His work also
explores the development of cancelable biometric-based secure
authentication systems that enhance the protection of biometric templates
while maintaining reliable user authentication. These approaches aim to
provide privacy, revocability, diversity and resilience against biometric data
compromise in modern authentication environments.
